Near the end of the groups two weeks of lounging around, Ezrin takes a moment when all four of the group are together,
“So, the Kommandant told us to take care of the Orc Shaman and the Demon Crystal issue, do we think we can really hang out here much longer before we get… told more firmly?”

Alexis shrugs nonchalantly.
“With all the troops here, and probably a failed siege up North, I’m guessing he’s been very busy.”
Alexis looks at Gustav
“And now that I think of it, I’m curious what your rage-filled-defiance-scream did to the troops up North. Both sieging and being sieged. This should prove an interesting story.”
Ezrin looks a bit confused, and then looks at his area in the tent, His notebook, spell book, scrolls, small pouches and envelopes, a few vials and two metal flasks, and other some belongings strewn about on his cot, and realizes he hasn’t left the tent in a while. He gets up, goes to the door of the tent, and looks out at the full yard of the lower bailey.
“Oh, this should prove interesting indeed.”
Gus is working on forming feathers for new arrows. When Gus sees Alexis look over at him, he looks confused again.
“I don’t know what either of you are talking about. In Aegir we tend to use clear speech and direct questions. We do not know the meaning of the word Furtive. What a stupid word that has no use. We are no longer in Sutheron. It is customary in another land to eventually act more like those in the land you are in. If you want a question answered, please ask a direct question.”
Gus then looks back to his arrows an says a loud “Harumph! Book learning rots Sutheron brains.”
Ezrin looks oddly at Gustav.
“I just wanted to know how long we have until the Kommandant starts… encouraging us to “get to work” on the tasks he’s assigned us…
“Maybe you need some fresh air and trees again yourself Gus?”
“Luckily we are not soldiers the Kommandant can order around. It is hard to promise exact timelines for difficult tasks like we do. And us killing the Giant has probably given us time.”
“Hopefully the Kommandant will stay busy and not remember us and decide we need new lodging…”
