Shared Skelor Heritage

Alexis, Mavon, and Ethelred are wet and cold, but all five of the group is ready to leave the caves to get warm. As the group leaves the fungal cave and into more traveled areas Ethelred and Mavon start discussing treasure hunting. Alexis takes the opportunity to signal Telosh for them to take up the back of the procession.

Keeping his voice a little low Alexis addresses Telosh “I’ve been thinking about Skelor. We should reach out to him. Up until now, I’ve been leaving that to Gus, but you and I both know he’s not the most… gregarious woodsman. Plus he’s from Aegir.” Alexis says the last bit about Aegir in a knowing tone. A shared, conspiratorial tone.

“Would you be willing to reach out to our crippled friend?”

  1. Telosh looks at Alexis briefly before returning his attention to their path and Mavon’s back. The weight of Skelor’s coin purse suddenly becomes rather noticeable to the Westlander, and he is once again distracted from the lingering headache left over from
his… indulgence with the draught of She Who Is Fierce.

“Yes, Alexis, I think that would be a good idea.”

He pauses, and his attention drifts away from Mavon and the inevitability of betrayal.

    “I’d like that.”

      • Telosh looks at Alexis, several thoughts quickly and openly pass across his face.

“What is our goal? He can’t walk. Do you want me to offer him mercy?”

An unspoken question is made obvious when the Westlander mouths the word “whose?” and makes five signs in rapid succession: a fist, the rune of TyLin, a gesture to the amulet of Tymora, a gesture to the chain around Alexis’ neck, and a gesture to the Deepforge Axe.

Telosh then shrugs in question, the message is clear to Alexis:

‘Whose mercy? She Who Is Fierce, TyLin, Tymora, Avv or the Dwarves?’

  2. Telosh smiles, and gestures to their amulets, first Alexis’ first, and then makes a sign of TyLin.

    And nods.

“Wise Womyn be praised.” He says out loud.

Alexis is wholly unsure if Telosh means one Wise Woman or three.

  3. As the group approaches the beginning of the long exit tunnel to the outside, Telosh clears his throat and looks to Alexis, once he knows he has Alexis’ attention, he signals towards the former bear enclosure where Skelor lies recuperating and the entrance to the long tunnel to camp in question, and shifts his head in query.

    Telosh’s signal is clear:

‘Which way do you want me to go right now?’
