Got a Message For a Bird

Shortly after the group has escaped the ambush with Skelor and ‘the Made’ Alexis addresses Inkham and Gustov. “That robin saved our skins back there. Can one, or both, of you give it a ‘thank you’ from us?”

Alexis looks at Gustov “I don’t mean just looking at the bird and saying ‘thank you’… or anything likewise asinine… in case my meaning was somehow vague.”

Alexis goes back to addressing them both “Question? Anything I can do to help?”

  1. Telosh looks to Gustov for a bit, and can’t contain himself for very long. He pulls his TyLin coin from his pocket, and quietly traces the crude rune as he intones a quiet prayer for guidance. When he finishes, he nods and turns to Alexis,

“Do you have any nuts or seeds, or maybe a little sugar?”

He looks back to Gustav, in gesture that is meant to request approval and ask for additional input.

  2. Gustav Looks at Inkam and Alexis and then pulls off his backpack then checks his backpack pantry. He digs deep below the meat and finds some leftover nuts and seeds from a previous hunt.

“Yep, we can thank the Robin with these few pinenuts, walnuts and maple tree seeds. I don’t have any sugar or honey. I haven’t found any recently”.

    • Telosh nods, and walks with Gus to the robin’s tree.

“Gustav, will you take my hand and ask TyLin to watch over this Robin with me?”

Telosh holds his hand out, a silver coin sits in his palm, the rune of TyLin etched into it.

        • Telosh nods and smiles. He takes the ranger’s hand, clasping the coin together in their palms, closes his eyes, and begins to speak:

“TyLin, we beseech you to aid and protect this robin that gave us warning of our enemies. Your Grace reminds us that all good creatures are worthy of protection, let this Robin thrive and continue to guide those that seek to make the world a better place, thank you great Goddess.”

Telosh looks to Gustav, and nods. He releases his friends hand, and leaves the coin in the ranger’s palm.

“Ok, let’s leave a few nuts and seeds here at the bottom of the tree, hopefully the bodies of the orks will attract flies and other bugs the robin can feed on as well.”

          • Gustav closes his eyes while Telosh prays. After, Gustav sees that Telosh left the coin in Gustav’s hands and rolls his eyes looking away from Telosh. Gustav puts the coin in his pouch. Gustav looks relieved to have his hand back and stretches and rubs it with his other hand. Gustav drops the nuts and seeds where Telosh asked as they walk back to the group.
